These are organized by the date of the most recently recorded version. Since I regularly record practice sessions, there may be several versions of any given song. Just because it's up here does not mean it's a polished version; these are the raw single mic cuts, often recorded with the song half written. Crushed VelvetI wrote this awhile back and recorded very late at night on 4/20/2004. One take, no particular care to it, somebody had asked me about it on IRC,
so I uploaded it for them. (1:19) Kol BluesFrom the same night as Crushed Velvet, this is about 20 seconds of stupid
lyrics about Kingdom of Loathing, a topic on a (different) IRC channel I was on. (0:33) Little Little MeeseA lullaby for someone I loved deeply Out OutOne of my favorite songs, this is about a woman I was seeing who had diagnosed schitzophenia, and was living quite nicely, most people she knew completely unaware of her efforts to keep everything together. The Tuesday We LeftBordering on Filk, this is a science fiction story about a couple who leave
the Earth. It is what you get when you cross Heinlein's Rocket Ship Galileo with
a love song. Would You Know MeA bluesy piece. Let Me GoMusic is therapy. This is a session. Trite or delightfully simple... your call.
I kinda like the flow, we'll see if I can stand it in a month. The Guinness SongEverybody who plays guitar deep in the woods has to have a song that lends itself
to neverending stupid verses and a chorus so simple that even the most inebriated
fellow can follow along. I have finally written my version of that song, and
here it is... or at least a short snippet of a couple verses and the chorus.
